Walleye bite

Walleye bite  has slowed a bit but still good!! Fish top edge or bottom edge of any Flat. Eight mile, Myr Mar, Seguchie, Matton FLats are great!
Walleye bite on the rock reefs is picking up a bit and should get better in the next few weeks.Fish are in the shallows 8' to 15',
Perch action is picking up around the deep sides of the rock reefs and mud flats.
Tulipee action is on in the deep water around the flats.
All resorts are plowing roads to the flats!,
Please check with local bait shops and resorts for ice conditions.

Lake Mille Lacs walleye slot set for 2009 (and winter of 2010)

Walleye: Release immediately all walleye 18.0" through 28.0"; Possession limit is 4, with only one over 28.0".
Northern Pike: Release immediately all from 24.0" through 36.0". Possession limit is 3, only 1 over 36.0". No spearing.
Smallmouth Bass: No harvest statewide until 2010 bass opener.
Tullibee (Northern Cisco): Possession limit is 10.
Muskellunge: Release immediately all less than 48.0". Possession limit is 1.
Other Species: Follow statewide regulations.
